I guess you haven't been seeing what Bourjos has been doing. He is about the same as Freese.

After an awful start to the season, Freese has been pretty damn solid. Much better than anything Grichuck or Bourjos has been doing

Yeah CJ had been gassed after throwing an unprecedented 107 pitches so it is understandable that a new pitcher would be brought in even though CJ had allowed 3 hits and 0 runs through 7.1 IP. Makes too much sense, actually.

Maybe Sosh saw what happened to the White Sox in the 8th inning a few hours earlier.
