He has done a lot of appologizing and attempted good-will with the fans.  The organization gave a ten dollar coupon for every ticket purchased last year.  Having attended a series there last year, it was clear that the fans didn't like him lying, but they are more happy to try and win again.

I don't agree with it either, but I don't know about "reprehensible."  Every fan base does something similar from time to time, because that's what fans do.  There's no room for feeling conflicted.

No, length isn't an issue (as my wife says), but starting a thread should begin in a capital letter. Just a pet peeve of mine and we also have a ton who subscribe to our forum threads as well.

At least he admitted his mistakes, and tried to win back fans.  His fans are forgiving him, and giving him a standing O.  Nothing reprehensible about it.

Yeah he admitted his mistakes but only after costing a guy his job by lying about him. A-Rod certainly lied about his mistakes but at least he isn't lying about the testers and calling them out in the media. IMO that's far worse.

I don't get the whole let's forgive him thing because he admitted his mistakes. After the biogenesis thing didn't he avoid the media and only issued a press release that seemed worded by his lawyer? And months after the suspension finally have a press conference, but didn't take any questions?
