I saw this yesterday. The Rangers were playing the Padres and Saunders was getting lit up. In the second inning Soto is crouching and tries to extend his leg to stretch it out then plops on the ground in pain. He can't bend his knee for the longest time and the trainers come out and eventually he is lifted to his feet, takes a couple of awkward steps then walks back to the dugout as if nothing was wrong. He is talking to the trainers and they are all confused how one moment he is in awful pain and the next it is like nothing happened.

He can hit the long ball though. Torrealba or a defensive oriented catcher would be a good sign for them as a backup / platoon partner.
