Gameday Thread: Angels vs. Mariners (3/1)

Recommended Posts

C.J. Wilson struck out the side in the first inning, including whiffing Robinson Cano. Struggling a bit in the 2nd inning, down 2-0 with two outs. Though he did make a mistake in a throw to homeplate. Should have been an out, so he could have gotten through the inning without giving up a run.

The Angels reserves are all in the lineup today, no projected starters.

I take that back about no regulars. Kole Calhoun is in this game.

And a base hit from Kole to lead off the game. He isn't going to mess around and lose another chance.

Good to see.

I tuned out after watching CJ make that bad throw (shovel pass) to home.

1. Kole Calhoun (L) RF

2. J.B. Shuck (L) LF

3. Ian Stewart (L) 3B

4. Hank Conger (S) C

5. Carlos Pena (L) 1B

6. Chad Tracy (L) DH

7. Collin Cowgill ® CF

8. Andrew Romine (S) SS

9. John McDonald ® 2B

Not much to get excited about looking at that lineup.

This lineup = the battle of who makes the team as a bench option

GEEZ - it's just great to have Halos baseball back on the air -- enjoy seeing the game on Prime Ticket......

great to see Don Baylor back in a Halo's uni and in the Angels dug out.........

hopefully this rubs off on the 2014 Halos -- but teams that Don Baylor was on always seemed to win........

I recall that later in his career he was in, I think, the World Series, three years in a row with three different teams........didn't always win it all but always seemed to in a position to do so.

I'd settle for that with the 2014 Halos........

Welcome back, Don Baylor -- still had one of the best all time single seasons overall stat wise in Halos history......
