No, they just have a Crawford, an Ethier and a Kemp, three contracts that no one will trade for. So basically they are in the same situation as we are, except Blanton is only for one more year. They just have the benefit of having the largest TV contract that puts ours to shame, which is crazy considering ours is one of the top ones in the league.

Up until last year the Angels were a bottom 3 or 5 fan cost index. Angels fans still complained about the costs.

Weve made huge mistakes in who we brought in and let go, so its fair to complain on bad decisions. But the flak arte caught about being a bad owner (overall) was/is ridiculous.

Sans his perceived meddling in operations, he's been arguably the best owner this team has had (at least in the conversation with the cowboy), and one of the better overall owners in all of pro sports in his tenure.

Just wish he had a better front office (and stayed out of it).
