The Angels are expected to bring in former first baseman Rico Brogna to be a special assistant to general manager Jerry Dipoto, sources said. Brogna, 43, played with Dipoto on the Mets from 1995-96 and has worked under him in the past. Brogna's role with the Angels will be part scouting and part coaching, likely in the Minor Leagues.
