They all dove into coverage.  That was a crazy ballsy call.

 

Good game so far.  Bruins D really flying around the field.  They were built for this exact reason.

Awful possession there. UCLA got a huge break and couldn't get past the 20 yard line. Now the Ducks are likely to score.

Oregon gave UCLA plenty of chances to get the lead and add to it. Reminded me of the 2011 USC/Oregon game

UCLA being too conservative.  I am tired of Mazzone.  I don't care how hurt the OL is, you have to take chances to beat Oregon.  They once again just ran four different plays against Oregon.

 

The D played great but they were on the field the entire second half and gave Oregon a short field too often.

It's not a coaching problem, Bruins don't have experience on the offensive line.

Several articles leading up to the game talked about all the kids they are playing, especially up front, and the disadvantage they would have against Oregon.

I agree, Jay, to an extent, but at some point don't you need to just go for it?  Down two touchdowns to Oregon in the second half and they were still super conservative.

Great 1st half.  Offense couldn't do shit in the 2nd half.  Good learning experience for all the youngins.  Hopefully we get a chance for a rematch in December.
