Cincy Reds fan here. I was a big Hamilton fan when he was here one year. I don't follow the AL.Can some one tell me if he just stunk this year or was he injured. What was the reaon for the poor season

Check his last at-bat and multiply by 100. Chased a breaking ball in the dirt. That tells you everything about his season.

Both your team and ours made horrible decisions w/ Hamilton...the Reds traded him to Texas when he was on the cusp of becoming a great hitter...we signed him to big bucks when he was done (for whatever reason)...Kudos to Daniels and Texas, they figured correctly, twice...when to get him and when to avoid a bidding war to keep him...

Chasing pitches is nothing new, the success on said pitches is or lack thereof.

I thought he was on the DL for shoulder problems. are you saying he was 100%

the whole year.

Since the last half of 2012, Hamilton's big 3 excuses have been: his eyes are blue, he's addicted to caffeine, he had tobacco withdrawals. In other words, he is a nutcase and that is his problem.

Hamilton's "Excuse-o-matic" machine has four more years of life.

It was frustrating to watch Trout be intentionally walked already knowing the outcome of Hamilton's future at bat.  If Hamilton walks up to the plate and simply takes the first 5 pitches, he earns a walk.

 

Can we just give him to Good Will and take the write-off?

Wishing & Hoping again.  This guy is nearly an automatic out against LHP and has been all year.  Since Scioscia has determined he should usually hit right after a guy that gets on base a lot, he will keep a gaggle of lefties employed in the AL.
