Blanton vs Hamilton

Hypothetical scenario: Blanton makes all his starts for the year against a team of Josh Hamilton and 8 of his clones. That's a full season for Blanton and if he goes 160 innings or so then Team Hamilton will have about as many at bats as one full time Hamilton. What do Blanton and Team Hamilton's numbers look like at the end of the year?

Team Hamilton would put up better numbers. If team Blanton pitched left handed, it would be a lot closer call.

Hamilton team would probably score 1100 runs and hit 300 HRs.

well i'm not taking any chances. you can only poke the grizzly bear so many times before it finally attacks.

Using the word suck for either player seems so underwhelming.

Logically, Blanton would have to suck and the hamiltons would have to suck right?   But if the hamiltons were sucking, that means blanton would be doing well and getting outs right?   But that couldn't be, because blanton sucks.   So that means the hamiltons would be tearing it up and putting up a 1.000 OPS as a team.   But then, that doesn't work because hamilton sucks and can't put up a 1.000 OPS.

 

Thus, the universe would implode in this scenario.
