It's one thing to cheat, but when cheating helps cost the Angels the AL Pennant, that's when I get upset.  I realize A Rod wasn't the only contributing factor but here are some stats.  Remember, the Angels lost the series 4-2.

Alex Rodriguez 2009 ALCS Stats-

BA- .429 9 for 21

RBI- 6

HR- 3, Including a game saving home run in Game 2 off Brian Fuentes, Yankees eventually won in 13 innings

And in Game 6, A Roid went 2-2 and was walked 3 times.

Sorry, but had to vent.  In 2009, I thought we had the best team in the world, and after hearing about the bio genesis, I thought about him tearing through the playoffs in 2009 and knocking us out, costing us the pennant.  And also, that team had Melky Cabrera and Andy Pettitte.  Makes me sick.  Let's dominate on National TV tonight!

it's frustrating for sure, as is that short porch in right that Arod hit that homer over.  Would have/should have been an out in any other stadium.  But them's the brakes.

also, cynics might be quick to point out that the Angels' ring was won at the height of PED use.  Yeah they beat Barroid, but tell me Brad Fullmer and Troy Glaus weren't juicing, among others I'd guess.

Unless I'm mistaken there were at least a few guys from the Angels 2002 team that have been implicated. Let's not start chucking boulders in a glass house.

That's considered blasphemy......don't say that here. You could be wished to the cornfield.

I think the people who could ban me would agree that no teams hands are guaranteed clean given how MLB has handled the issue going back for 15+ years.

Regardless if you want to be pissed about a "recent" playoff series I'm going to go with the 2005 ALCS by a landslide.  The Angels won a 5 game ALDS series vs. the Yankees where Colon had to leave early in game 5 and Santana stepped in to get it done in NY.  Then on short rest compared to the Whitesox the Angels went into Chicago and won game 1 when not many thought they would due to fatigue.  Up in game 2 they got umped and never recovered.  Players from all teams could have been roided but getting ump jacked on a ridiculous call still stings.

Steroids or not, anyone could have hit that pitch Fuentes threw A-Rod in Game 2 and it would have been a Home Run.

That meatball could have even been hit out by Willits!

Thank you for nothing, Daisy Fuentes, not to mention how you give it to the fans.    Hard to take criticism, no?

Scioscia loved him, though...

Loved him so much that he was traded for a 7' career minor leaguer.

One thing that bothers me is why we couldn't get anything decent for Fuentes.  He wasn't that bad.  I mean he wasn't GMJ!
