I have to admit that I would like the org to have some of Eddie's Bane's thought process.

It's always nice to take risks.   He just took far too many of them, which likely contributed to the farm depth falling off.

If you can secure Trout's services for the next 10 years for $222 million, you do it. That is a bargain for the best player in baseball now and in te future. Throw in a couple of option years and you pretty much guarantee that your team had Trout on the roster during his most productive years
