The bullpen won’t be taxed because they have an off day on Thursday.

We had Thursday off and then Washington proceeded to use the pen like he had nobody available but Soriano.

Usually, tightness equates to a low level strain... otherwise, they would say cramping or something else. Tightness in my experince is usually a slight pull or strain....

Another option is using an opener and then putting Soriano in the 2nd or 3rd inning for multiple innings.
