Just remember...  no matter how shitty being an Angels fan may be -- reminding Dodger fans that the only CA team to win a full season WS this century plays in Anaheim makes for hilarity.

You actually need help with this question.   You'll fit right in with the rest of them left field pavilion squatters after your short drive.

Go jerk off to your Nevin poster or something. You are taking up unnecessary space on my screen.

Meh.  I thought I'd be more bummed but I'm really not

But let's do some simple math.  If half is deferred to say 2043 then the current value of that 350m is about 215m.  So his AAV for the purpose of the contract is probably around 10/565.  Or 56.5m per year.  If 250m is deferred then it's worth about 150m now.  So that would be an aav of 60m.

The AAV isn't going to be 70m, but it sure as shit aint gonna be 35m.

No because 75 percent of the stadium will be filled with Dodgers fans

It'll be 85% Dodgers fans at the game so not likely IMO

No for two reasons

1. We'll love him forever and we saw history with him.

2. Angel stadium will be 90% dodger fans

75%?  85%?  90%  Do I hear 95%?  95%?  90% going once...going twice...

We need to placate the new Japanese fan base!

They go where Ohtani goes.

Beyond the scope of my knowledge, but given that the Dodgers are run by a corporation (not an individual), I am guessing their finance and marketing team have determined that they can market Shohei and outearn the 70 mil per year salary.  Teams run by corporations typically don't make emotional decisions, but rather financially-backed ones.

Owning their own television rights -- they likely cut a deal to air games in Japan.
