It absolutely does not mean this.  Nevin was on a one year contract, and he knew what could happen.

They didn’t fire him, they just didn’t retain him.  There is a difference.  No one is blaming anyone.  They decided to go a different way with someone who may have a different coaching pedigree

This was the  day for exit interviews. Phil was shown the door. That is the most unsurprising development of the Angels' early offseason. Anybody hear if the door hit him on the way out?

Four managers in 6 years how is that working out. Look at Orioles they stuck with Hyde thru 2 really bad years.

They also got new hats a couple years ago and stuck with them.  Maybe the Angels should change their main team color to orange and get new hats and stick with them.

I think Torii Hunter would be a great Manager, with an experienced bench coach like Dino Ebell.  Torii is smart, great people skills, won't let players push him around and commands respect.  Craig Council will also be a good choice.

It's the Angels.  Nothing they do surprises me.  I wouldn't be shocked if by the end of the presser, Arte comes to the podium and fires Perry on the spot.
