Oblique injuries are not good at all. On top of the torn UCL that's a shame. If it's just tightness that clears up then he could still hit. If it's torn, say goodbye to the huge free agent payday.

Giolito got his first start for Cleveland today. 9 runs in 3.0 innings taking the L.

Twins 20 - Guardians 6. Our momentum has apparently followed him to Cleveland. We’ll see what Clev pitching coaches can do with him the rest of the month. Good to have him off our payroll.

We'll see him Saturday and he'll throw 6 shutout innings.
