If a quarter of the roster is claimed on waivers Thursday morning, the Angels get to promote up to about 8 from their admittedly thin farm system.

Maybe they should've done that same type of praying to play and perform better so the ship didn't sink. These same players are a big reason that the ship is sinking in the first place. They deserve to be claimed by the A's, Royals, Rockies, Tigers, White Sox.

Quite a battle with Marsh. Estevez prevails. 

Nice comeback. Especially after the over hyped Harper celebration. He hasn't even been a Philly for that long and was a free agent signing, not a drafted prospect who rose through their ranks. And 300 is a nice personal mark but not close to being historic. 

On to Oakland for a sweep and a touch of renewed pride.
