Sunday lineup, No Trout

Recommended Posts

He tired down the stretch last year, so he does need time off.  The arguments that 22 year olds don't need time off is silly.  However, we do have a day off tomorrow and with PB out and still 9.5 games behind it may not be wise to give up this game.

Storm, I agree with that assessment. What I am wondering is who will be in center? I imagine it will be Josh. I'd hate to see JB out in center guessing around at where the ball is going. LOL

Hamilton played center in that park for years during interleague play. He won't be guessing.

Josh is a good outfielder and played centerfield very well for years. It is JB Shuck that I would be worried about being out there guessing. I have read where Sosh likes Shuck because supposedly he can play all three outfield positions. Two of them he hasn't played particularly well, so I would not be anxious to see him in center.

If we win: Smart move for Scioscia to sit Trout against the Astros. Giving him an extra days rest is the best thing with the Cards coming to town on Tuesday and with the team making one final push for playoff contention.

If we lose: Fire Scioscia! Resting our best player while they have momentum and against the Astros, who such but who have has our number all season...what the f**k was he thinking?! ...This team is not a playoff team, this manager is not smart enough to lead a playoff team.

Well, the bottom portion of your post will be found out when the season ends. We can wait and judge his status at that time I suppose.

Hey HOA, this prevented Trout from going 0-4. Good job Scioscia!

we were also able to move Hamilton back into his natural position in CF. Clearly that worked as he had a great offensive game. Moving a former MVP out of position was a huge mistake.

Let's trade Bourjos and Trout while we still can  B)
