Flyers singed Claude Giroux to an 8 year extenstion and also inked Ray Emery for 1 year at 1.65 mil.  The Emery signing is great for them IMO.  He was solid when he made his comeback with the Ducks and was 17-1-0 for the Blackhawks last year.

Could be clearing up some $ for another move though too.  I actually think it is a good move.  We weren't going to hold onto Bobby and he seemed to fall out of favor with the team last season.  Definitely need Getz and Perry to perform now.  Etem has big shoes to step into.  Wouldn't mind seeing a Etem, Bonino and Selanne line next season.
