I do agree with you on Thaiss/O’Hoppe. I’m pretty sure Thaiss would get claimed on waivers, so keeping Thaiss up and sending O’Hoppe down would allow them to keep more depth at catcher.

Yes I was aware of that fact about Lamb which is why I started this conversation. 
I think they’ll keep Thaiss.  It isn’t the approach I would take. I’d rather have Sanchez and Stassi with O’Hoppe in AA.

At this point, I want them to keep Thaiss because it retains the most catching depth.

My concern would be that they DFA Thaiss, then one of Stassi/O’Hoppe gets hurt, and now you went from having 3 catchers to 1 catcher.

I guess they have Wallach, but I prefer him as the “4th catcher” on the depth chart.
