Angels are like 30 games out of the playoffs at the end of July and they are running out 4 guys in their lineup who shouldn't even be with the organization come next season.

Watching the Yankee game, their broadcasters are constantly talking about Judge ad MVP every time there is a pause in the action.

He leads the league in both hits and homers. Has only happened three times in history. When Judge is at bat the crowd champs M.. V.. P.. 

There is going to be a huge lobby for Judge if trends continue. At this rate Ohtani will have far fewer homers than last year and a lower batting average and RBIs. On the mound though he should have much better stats. So the total package still should be enough to make the contest with Judge close. As well team results don't help Ohtani while Judge will be in the playoffs. And is on the Yankees. And we know attention spans are short these days. Ohtani may just be taken for granted now as attention fixates on Judge.

His BA is down .06 points from last year but he still has time to raise that, also with 62 RBIs he could very easily surpass last years total. HRs are where he will come up short but still could hit 35 before it's over.

I'm excitedly awaiting the 2 p.m arrival (on TV) of rain at the Big A. I'm in a cloud of smoke right now on the Oregon side of a big NorCal fire. We could probably put all y'all's expected showers to better use;

Already NINE swing and misses in 2 innings!   5 on four seam, 3 on slider, and 1 on the changeup
