Until today Quijada was really the only person in the bullpen I had any confidence in.

shame to waste such a gem of a pitching effort.  And my homie Marsh with a bad play, he’s usually very solid defensively. 
 

since the runner started in extra inning many teams are saving their best strikeout guy for,the 10th.

He pitched yesterday, so probably hoping they wouldn't need him to pitch today.

i would just like to point out that every single one of you on this board loved iglesias up until about a month or so ago. the only disagreement about him was whether or not minasian should have traded him for prospects at the trade deadline last year.

i pointed out some time ago that he gave up a lot of two strike homeruns, but that certainly didn't affect his effectiveness at that point, it was just something i didn't like about his approach with two strikes.

let's be fair in judging perry on that particular contract.

 

on a side note, we all know iglesias is an excellent closer, and the truth is all the other blowpen members were fucking good at their jobs almost without exception. i don't think it's reasonable to believe these guys suck as players. i think the angels bring the suck to the players. i assume it's coaching, the team approach to attacking hitters, or the analytical data is fucked.
