Word is he’s opting out of his current contract. What would you offer a pitcher like him?  Injury prone but lights out when he’s pitching.

During spring training he said during a press conference he was going to opt out. That was before he spent the first half injured.

I'd offer him a room with Mike Trout. They can bond about being the most talented players in the game who can't stay healthy.

His team is loaded, in a good playoff race, and with a big bucks owner. And he's coming off a long injury absence.

Of course players have to look after themselves, but his value would increase with a good showing down the stretch.
