The home run derby is so boring. Might as well hit off a tee to equalise the hitters. Each guy throwing is different, making it easy/harder for some. .

What about pitching, contact hitting and defensive skills? Sorry, only sluggers need appear. Video game mindset. 

The NHL has a much more interesting skills competition. Hardest shot, fastest skater, most accurate scorer, best goalie.
