If this really is about to be another disaster contract, I guess I'd rather he miss the games with injury instead of playing and sucking like Pujols did. At least there's a chance at finding better production while he's out. I say this knowing the Angels never have any depth worth a damn so whoever does replace him will likely be some 29 year old journeyman 4A player that's a total negative(Jack Mayfield the past 2 seasons)

They used to make fun of Fred Lynn when was with the Angels about always being injured. Fred Lynn played in over 80% of the regular season games when he was here, and made 3 All-Star games. Two things it looks like Rendon will never even come close to.

In before strad says it’s too early to call Rendon a bust or the next Pujols. At this rate Rendon will be sent packing before the end of his contract like Hamilton, Pujols, Upton.

He'll get DFA'd in a couple of years, and miraculously find the Fountain of Youth with the Astros, or Rangers. Much like Gary Gaetti did in KC, and StL after he was DFA'd here

More than likely it will be Wade or Duffy.  Wade makes Reggie Willetts look like a power hitter.
