It was a single.  He was on the SS side of second.  We would have called it a great play had he made it.

Don’t give two shits how it was scored.  It was not hit hard, the runner was slow, any decent second baseman makes that play.  He doesn’t know how to make a jump throw one hopper, pathetic. And that wasn’t his only fuck up of the night.

Disagree. Looked like his hand touched the plate at the same moment the tag touched him.

That's been a call upheld all fucking season.

That’s what bothers me.  It seems like when it happens the other way it gets upheld because not enough evidence to overturn.

Ok fine, that’s the standard.  But sometimes, and usually when it’s the Angels, the reviewing umps go with what they ‘think’ the outcome is, not what the review shows.

I’m 99% sure there is not an anti-Angels bias so the other explanations are my personal perception bias, which is possible but since there is inconsistency I don’t think that it.

The only other explanation is that you essentially have the umpire version of jury nullification.  Some umps know the standard and follow the standard, regardless of personal feelings of what the “right” call should have been.  But some don’t care there is a standard and are voting for what they think the correct call should have been.  And what that leads to is inconsistency in challenges and replay which causes the anti-Angel perception.

That’s my take.
