I'm not concerned with his batting average at all. I only came here to say I hope he doesn't get hurt again and miss several months. Same with Trout.

Not concerned with either's production. Not concerned with ST stats at all. They're meaningless.

Spring stats mean a lot to players trying to make MLB rosters.

Here's a question: If Rendon ends up being yet another big-contract bust, will Arte EVER sign another big contract that isn't a homegrown guy?

UPTON: Moderate bust

HAMILTON: Massive bust

PUJOLS: Historically terrible bust

WELLS: Massive bust

(I know Wells was form a trade, but it was effectively signing him to a 4/$88M deal).

Rendon and Trout pending. But the point is, not a single one of those four turned out even close to decent. If we extend it a bit, Hunter's contract turned out well and Vlad's very well, but Weaver and WIlson didn't, and of course there's Gary Matthews.
