Depending on how much he costs, if in fact he's signing here, I'd be ok with another BP add. Make the bullpen a legit strength. Bullpen and offense are good, SP is ??? = competing.

I wouldn't call him mediocre. Career 114 ERA+ and 3.73 FIP. 

He's just a typical reliever: fickle as hell. He walks too many guys and his K rate is inconsistent as fuck. Seems he could be successful here.

He'd be pretty iffy if he was the lone guy before Iglesias. As a second guy added to that mix, he's a pretty good option.

I'm cool with this if it happens.  My presumption is that it's about 3-4m.  His bb rates are kinda all over the place.  He featured the change up a lot more last year upon switching to the phils.  So it could be just a pitch mix and sequencing thing.  Seems he could be a strong asset for 5th, 6th, 7th.  There's a good chance he makes the team better.

He has pitched mainly in hitting friendly parks like Philly and Arizona.

Only concern is the BBs.

And I wouldn't rule out the possibility that someone like Ramos or Barraclough breaking into the mix and having at least a solid season. There's enough reason for optimism from either one that one of them could break camp and stick. I imagine another RP ST invite or two comes into play as well.

If I'm doing my math right, I think we're just about at the same amount payroll-wise for 2021, maybe shy a mil or two. 

So, payroll didn't really get cut, but also hasn't gone up (yet).
