Honestly I'm really happy with the notion of the Halos trying to build a strong bullpen instead of fixing the rotation all at once. We've tried the opposite without success lately.

And should someone like Detmers or Bachman push Lorenzen to the pen, if he isn't working as a SP, he'd be a pretty effective add to that mix too. That could apply to Suarez too. 

I'm still a little leery of the fact every SP has a pretty significant question mark in terms of handling a full-season workload, but signing Bradley has me feeling really comfortable about the pen. We needed either one good RP arm or a couple cheap vets to round out the depth between Iglesias and Loup and all the young guns like Warren, Quijada, Wantz, Ortega. Bradley does that nicely, effectively moving Mayers and Buttrey into more of the 6th/7th roles.

But.... aren't centripetals, by definition, also peripherals? You cannot be moving toward the center if you are already there.

If we hadn't added Loup, I'd be way more leery of relying on Bradley as the main guy to Iglesias, but I think between the two they can offer very solid coverage in the 7th/8th innings.

I would not count on Buttrey. His last 2 years with halos were not good. Bradkey depends on price.
