I would have to agree @James. He typically does, but I wonder if he was pressured to say something by teammates, including Noah Syndergaard, who is reppin the players side in negotiations.

I don't see how you can do anything but support Trout in this. He's speaking out as the face of baseball. If he didn't say anything, he'd probably get shit for it.

Also he never does this. Ever. So when he actually speaks up, you know you've done fucked up.

“We are irritated at the other side because we not getting what WE want.”

OR

”We are upset with the other side in the negotiations because they were able to put us in a position we don’t want to be in.”
