You guys are ignoring that some of the other Free agents (not the Angels) might be the ones waiting on Scherzer.  If Scherzer lands $43m a year, the agent for Ray or Stroman may be able to ask for more per year.

Why?  If Scherzer goes to the Dodgers do you think the Mets will just sit back and watch the rest of the off season?

No but I also think a FA is more likely to decide against the Mets and sign with another team for less $. The Dodgers on the other hand, not too many bad stories about their ownership or leadership.

I am not that nervous.  I feel like the Angels will get Scherzer or Ray or Stroman.  I really don’t see them getting shut out on this group.
