"Beds are typically small, in many cases twin-sized, and in some instances there are up to six players — two per room — sharing one apartment. Improvements have been made in increasing the quantity and quality of food, but there’s still work to be done, players say.

“They’re just hitting all the checkmarks just to, you know, get by,” one Angels minor leaguer said. “And most people know that Angels minor leaguers are on the bottom, while our (franchise) is (valued in the top 10).

“Like last year,” said Minor League Advocates executive director Harry Marino, “it appears that the Angels are near the bottom of the league when it comes to the treatment of minor-league players.”

Sometimes I really hate rooting for this team.

It’s incredible how this team always makes the wrong decisions. I’m sure they are meeting minimums, but why would you not want to go above and beyond?

Imagine working for a company where the lowest person on the totem pole feels like they are treated like shit? The best run companies do the complete opposite and try and create buy in from top to bottom by showing they care.

The Angels continue to prove how pathetic they are from top to bottom. It’s sad.

I'm curious about the teams that consistently have the strongest minor league systems, if their accomodations are better.

I mean it’s good that there is a apparently notable improvement but one wonders why they wouldn’t just match what other teams are doing ? Hopefully there is a good faith ongoing effort to make the development system better.

What exactly are other teams doing? How does spending compare?

I just can't believe that these pussies are complaining about the size of their beds in their free apartments (that they have to share!)

I'd bet the players here from Latin American countries aren't bitching.

I mean the article says specifically what the orioles are doing.  1 player, 1 bedroom.  I don’t know that the 2 in a bedroom thing or the twin beds are a problem.  I lean towards they’re not.  But if it is that case that the angels are providing notably less then most other teams, that’s not great.

Less than one team.

I work for a company that goes above and beyond to take care of its associates, so obviously I fall on the side of going above and beyond.

Do you provide free housing? That's what I'm referring to. These players are ridiculous.
