This game was not nearly as close as the score indicated.  Bama missed a field goal in the first half, bogged down around the 5 yard line and settled for 3 and held Cincinnati to 76 TOTAL YARDS in the first half, which was a College Playoff records for least yards EVER in a playoff game.

it could have, and should have, been much worse.  Saban must have a soft spot for Luke Fickell or something.

I think it was more that they committed to running the ball.  Young only attempted 28 passes today.  His previous 2 games he attempted 51 and 48 passes.  Cincy has great defensive backs, so it was a good game plan.

Michigan was completely dominated in that first half.  Not sure why Kirby Smart saved that last time out before the half though?  Really poor clock management before halftime.

Just looked ahead. Florida opens the season at Utah. The last time that I saw the Gators play live, I was in a band uniform at the 1974 Sugar Bowl. Salt Lake is a doable road trip.

I still regret not making the Sooner Club bus trip to UCLA.
