I like Quijada…he might have his games where he’s really erratic or finds too much of the plate to serve as a mainstay but he’s good for one of those ‘wild card’ lower-leverage relievers. Personally I would like to see the Angels stack enough starters up that Suarez starts ‘22 in the pen again, so Quijada could serve as a second lefty which would do him well. 

Big problem is he’s out of options next year so he’d need to stick. 

While we’re dreaming, I also want the Angels to trade for Will Smith to pair with a re-signed Iglesias. Going to hope the Braves want to free up salary for some reason and Perry can work a deal. He’d be a great add as our main set-up guy.

If the Angels drafted a shortstop as their number one pick last year, there would be hope for an in house replacement.  I'm confident there is a sound baseball reason the Angels don't have a young shortstop in the minors based on the expertise of the front office at the time.
