Angels select LHP Ky Bush, St. Mary's, 45th overall in the 2nd round

This is my favorite pick of our draft. Bush with size and stuff has a solid upside. His fastball is a plus pitch, that slider looks like a plus pitch, he still needs to develop a 3rd pitch and command. But the stuff and upside are there.

I've seen a Snell Comp for him, but another interesting comp that I found/saw from the Bush's side and mechancis was younger CC Sabathia. Their both about the same size, their mechanics look quite similar aswell. CC during his Clevland days, was more of a heavy Fastball, which was a mid 90s pitch similar to Bush,a nd wipeout slider. There is still alot for Bush to do until he can reach the level that CC was in his prime, and he might never reach that ceiling, but there is allot to dream about this Pick! 

 

 Just look at the Similarties in the Windup.
