This looks like a decent Spring Training lineup for a split squad game.

Maybe Fletcher in CF, and Gosselin at 2B, with Walsh staying at 1B?  Lagares doesn't make enough contact to justify a spot in the lineup.  Stassi should be hitting behind Ward and Iglesias, IMO.

Shane McClanahan. Top 100 prospect.  Decent so far in his rookie season. Oddly enough, in limited ABs, lefties are actually hitting him much better than righties.

Gosselin does somehow have a career slash line of .303/.378/.405 against lefties, so maybe he'll contribute today.

I am not a major league manager, just some dude who likes baseball, but I would probably go with something similar.  If you are going to play the exact guys that are in the line up today I would go with Fletcher in CF, Lagares in LF, Ward in RF, Rengifo at 2nd and Gosselin at 1st.

Definitely a homecoming, based on how the Rays announcers were talking about him yesterday. They spoke very highly of him and his family.

He may be an average to above average  player but he isn’t going to be the guy they thought they drafted. I imagine this is common scenario for most clubs though

Yea, I mean we had guys on here that said they would be upset if he only had a Justin Upton career, which will be a career that will end up having close to 400 home runs.  He very well could still be a multiple time all star.  He could lead the league in HRs possibly.  He won’t be an OBP guy and he won’t be a gold glover.  If anyone expected him to be Trout, yea, they will be disappointed.  He very well could still be a middle of the order bat for a decade.

The being mad that Adell *only* turns out like Justin Upton is absolutely one of the most dog brained takes earnestly had ever on AW.  Honestly it’s rude to dogs to describe it that way.

The range of outcomes is pretty wide.  Still.   He’s not ready for the major leagues is really the only safe position right now imo.
