McDonald's has a sweet deal right now where if you get a chicken sandwich, you get medium fries and a medium drink for free.

Their sandwich is decent but a bit dry. Popeye's has the best chicken sandwich but the nearest one to me is almost 3 miles away in north Long Beach.

I am going to sit in the pool and try and watch this game to it's conclusion. My wife will be serving me drinks and laughing at my sunburnt skin for thinking they could avoid the sweep.

Sorry guys but I couldn't get past the top of the fifth inning today. What happened, did they win?

Artie time for rebuild. Do Trout a favor and trade him.

The window for that has closed. If the Angels trade Trout, they will forever be known as the team who had to trade a once in a generation player because they could not figure out how to win with him.

That Babe Ruth trade happened how long ago and is still being referenced as one of the dumbest moves ever.

Just rebuild most of the damn bullpen and figure out a way to replace two or three of our starters with good pitchers. Then dump Upton, Suzuki, the manager, the GM, and get a new coaching staff. Maybe a new crew of broadcasters too, but keep Langston. He's okay.

On top of all that, hire a lot more scouts and rebuild the farm.

Oh, and Arte, please sell the team, or at least stay far away from the front office.

No more expensive free agents whose careers have already peaked. Just stop it!!

Just wondering why I'm a "newbie" even though I've been here for more than 8 years.

Because it's 1985. The internet hasn't been invented yet.

My question how many losing seasons with this generation player (he is a generational player). So how do they win with him? Spend 200 mill on some pitcher next year? Angels are known for dumb moves, Pujols, Hamilton, Wells and dollar store pitchers. I for one would not be surprised if Trout ask for a trade.

I’m surprised he signed the extension, but Trout believes in the future of the organization. I must defer to his insider knowledge regarding the future.  I would be better about how bad the Angels are if Trout and now Ohtani were not on the team.

What is most frustrating is that the problem is pitching and has always been pitching.

Baldoquin playing in some forgotten independent league while Vlad jr is putting up mvp numbers represents the incompetence level for the Angel’s front office for the past 7 years. If you want better players, get a better front office. People blame Artie, yet the A’s don’t seem to have a problem with finding affordable pitchers who don’t self destruct.

Could have picked up Brad Hand for 10 mill.

Ohtani is a more valuable asset then Trout at present. And possibly into the future. I don't see them together long term.

With out a doubt Ohtani is more valuable now. One big reason he is so cheap. If you were to trade Ohtani you would get a lot more than trading Trout. Trout;s contract is so large.

Who do you see as the Angels trading partner, for Ohtani?

Everyone Maddoning at Maddoning, but this is at least 51% Perry's fault.  Joe is putting Twatson and Seasick in the high leverage situations because that's what Perry brought them in to do.  Ya'll seem to think Maddon should pull a Scioscia and revolt against the GM.

Hmm, now that I think about it, maybe he should.  Maybe Joe really needs to be serious about it being 1985.  In 1985, you'd put Goose Gossage or Rollie Fingers in at the beginning of the 7th for old style 3 inning save.  Bring C-Rod in the 6th for a shutdown when needed, then tell Raisel to grow a horseshoe or handlebar mustache because he's doing the 7-8-9 innings a lot.
