Adell's defense is a legitimate concern. He just has no instincts out there. He's worse than Upton.

His bat is fine. He's 21 and he's showing a lot of discipline this spring. It may be a couple years before he puts it all together but I think he will. Remember, he's still very young. 

I don't know what to do about the defense, though. Not sure how you teach that.

Man, I'm warming to the idea of him becoming a member of our late inning bullpen. Maybe use him the same we did with Shields.

Worse than Upton is being kind. He's basically Marcel Ozuna on a bad day.

Upton has actually looked great out in LF this spring. 

Good to see Adell rebound with an RBI double. Glad to see his defensive woes aren't affecting him at the plate.

What a silver lining it would be for both Chris Rodriguez and Reid Detmers to have them in bullpen after a lost minor league season last year.

I'm not too concerned yet.  He's never done this in the minor leagues.  He's never gained a reputation for being a terrible defensive player.  And it's not like he hasn't been scouted a ton.  I think he'll get over it.   As for the most recent botched play...  all kinds of players have trouble in AZ with high fly balls and popups.

I have a hard time believing this is just 'the yips.' He doesn't look bad at all at the plate.

Adell is making a good case to be a platoon DH in 2022. Oh well, an outfield of Trout, Marsh, and Adams should work.

Adams?  That's wishful thinking.

Adams is completely overmatched at the plate right now. Understandable considering his lack of experience.

Didn't someone just post that Adell is six months older than Adams, too?

Fans are rough on elite prospects

Yeah he's only 6 months younger than Adell.

He's more than a year behind in development time though.
