The virus itself was already beginning to spread in November, he was warned in January. Congress should open up a task force to find out why the dumbass waited 70 days to do something about corona.

Congress should open up a taskforce to find out why 535 elected officials that had the same briefings, CDC reports and WHO reports cross their desk and they never once brought it to the floor for discussion. The only thing they did in January is shelter their investments and dumped stocks.

This is literally all you need to know to take it seriously by how fast it spread:

Dec. 31: China confirms existence of a new virus.

Jan. 20: World Health Organization reports cases in China, Thailand, Japan, and South Korea.

Jan. 21: The first U.S. case is announced in Washington state (as well as Vietnam and Singapore). WHO says the virus risk globally is high.

December 31st: congressmen are all at New Years Eve parties.

January 20th: Senate argues over impeachment trial procedure

January 21st: Senate is still focused on impeachment. Nancy Pelosi makes a statement about Bill H.R.1.

January 24th: Senator Loeffler dumps stocks after special counsel meeting on COVID-19

It was likely Trump told Fauci to lie and downplay it, which is exactly Trump's style.

But even if he didn't, YOU PREPARE FOR THE WORST POSSIBLE SCENARIO.

Lol. You would have had a fit had they locked us down in early January. "Authoritarian Nazi doesn't even listen to Dr. Fauci that the US doesn't need to be this concerned"! Possibly "He's a Nazi doing this as a distraction from the impeachment".

Jan. 21: The first U.S. case is announced in Washington state (as well as Vietnam and Singapore). WHO says the virus risk globally is high.

And yet

Jan 29: The White House forms a coronavirus response task force, initially led by Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar.

Jan. 30: The WHO declares a global health emergency.

Jan. 30: Trump blocks travel from China.

Feb. 26: The first case emerges in California with no clear source, suggesting community spread of the virus.

Feb. 28: Cases rise across Europe, including Italy, Germany, France, England, Switzerland and Belarus.

Feb. 29: FDA eases guidelines to speed the broader use of testing.

March 11: On the same day the WHO declares COVID-19 a pandemic, Trump uses a prime-time Oval Office address to announce a ban on travel for non-Americans from most of Europe.

March 13: Trump declares a national emergency to access $50 billion for states and territories, and clear the way for fast-track waivers for hospitals and doctors as they respond to the virus.

March 17: Trump said in a news conference that for the next 14 days, "we’re asking everyone to work at home, if possible, postpone unnecessary travel, and limit social gatherings to no more than 10 people."

March 20-23: New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo orders all non-essential businesses to keep their workers home. Indiana, Louisiana, Ohio, Illinois and many other states issue similar restrictions.

(March 19 is when CA told everyone to stay at home)

I'm honestly trying to give Fauci some credit, if he really is that grossly incompetent then he should be fired immediately.

It’s not incompetence. They don’t know shit about this virus and China was not forthcoming

POTUS and the Congress have moved forward with a three pronged approach to helping the average American get through the economic aspects of this emergency.

1)  The $1200 checks that will go to all who qualify and should start appearing in people's bank accounts next week.  The problem will be with the number of low earning Americans who do file tax returns or do not have direct deposit of their tax refunds.  These folks will have to receive a check and the government only has the ability to currently send out 5 million checks a week so those waiting for a check will have a possibility of several months delay before seeing this one time shot of cash.

2) The expanded unemployment eligibility (including the self employed or private contractors) plus the extra $600.00 per week will be a great help but the bottleneck will be the individual State's Unemployment systems which will be severely overloaded.  Those in the best shape will be those already on unemployment who will just have the $600.00 added to their already established accounts.

3) The loans from the banks (backed up by the SBA) which will allow small businesses to continue paying folks thus not forcing them into the unemployment mess (see #2 above) and will not have to be repaid if they continue to pay their employees.  Of the $350 billion allocated to this program, supposedly $ 100 billion has already been approved (I have no idea what this means in terms of when the businesses will get the money) but banks are an extremely regulated industry with lots of rules to follow and the large number of businesses applying for this basically free money and the notoriously slow SBA bureaucracy will I am sure not go as smoothly as we all want.

The question is, who will get the blame for what will inevitably be delays.  Will this all be blamed on Trump?

It always does.

Trump gets blamed for everything, even if he didn't have anything to do with it.

I agree he is to blame for some things. Everybody makes mistakes at times. Here should be held accountable for his mistakes.

But he gets blamed for everything even if he had nothing to do with it.

And he gets blamed for things that the press runs with and ends up being not true. Quite a bit of that going on. MSM should be held accountable.

That's my point.
