It's actually perfectly easy to breathe through a mask. I'm morbidly obese and have to wear one at all times when I'm at work, which includes a 16 hour shift, and I don't have any issues.

I don't go staring at other people's masks so I don't know why it would annoy me. It's not hard to breathe in a regular mask. There are plenty of people that wear them all day for work.
