his bright shining moment came at this tournament 30+ years ago, and that was it for him. he fell off the cliff to complete obscurity.

that's such a jerk thing to do. they honored him by putting a brass plaque in the ground where he hit and holed out his famous shot on 18 to win. i wonder if the plaque is still there, or if this kind of dick action will get someone out there with a shovel early this morning to dig that thing up and toss it somewhere deep inside the cart shed.

bryson and westwood in the final pairing. the only way i could have hated that grouping more would have been if they added patrick reed and miguel angel jimenez.

Rory is having a horrible Thursday morning at the Players.

Started on the back nine and carded an 8 on the 18th, found the water twice. +6 now through 11 holes.

Someone named Matthew Fitzpatrick is -5 through 12 and leading.

Lee Westwood is playing like a young man, all alone at the top. -8.

Im has a birdie run of six straight going but he'll have to sink a 52-foot putt to make it 7.

Westwood went head case and DeChambeau simply unraveled. Neither is making putts or fairways. That's no way to play on Sunday. I should know, that was what I was dong this morning. 

Example, Westwood just blasted out of another sand trap and didn't get within 15 feet of the hole, ran it well past and off line. Maybe he should have paid for a caddie rather than have his girlfriend carry the bag.
