I was at Suarez' last start on Saturday and he was pulling the same crap, couldn't get the third out. This is ridiculous.

pitch to Altuve was a bad call.  he hit the spot.  two cue shots in the inning.  

he's looked much better tonight with his spotting of the fastball.

Admittedly, it's been only three batters but every one I've seen starts like this with Suarez, with a pitch way off the plate.

Suarez could use another year in AAA. He'll be pretty good someday. He's up here too soon out of desperation since we basically have no rotation. Canning going down is typical of this season.

This seems to be a common thing. When a starter has the least bit of pressure he can't find the strike zone.

he's pitching much better tonight.  nothing hit hard.  a couple bad calls by the ump and some bloops.  some poor defensive positioning and a couple bad calls on which pitches to throw where he hit the spot.  

hopefully he can get out of this and not make that one bad mistake.

this is an excellent offense he's facing and he's had them off balance all night for the most part.  If you don't see improvement in tonight's start, then you haven't payed attention to his other starts.

Interesting strategy so far by the Angels when they lead off innings with doubles...maybe popups and groundouts to the shortstop aren't the best option
