that's a perfect example of what happens to Sandoval at times.  He just totally loses it.  Sometimes he gets it back and fortunately he did there.  Other times he won't and he'll give up a bunch of runs.

Max Stassi is just a terrible hitter.  Literally awful.  If Reed, Wooten and Sorrento get him to a serviceable level where he can have an ops around .650, they are friggin geniuses.

Do you think that's just a function of being brand-new to MLB? Or will it always be a concern? (I didn't follow him in the minors at all.)

hard to say and frankly, that will be the difference for him being a #4/5 or a #2/3

that and shit pitch calling like what just happened where he hits the glove and a guy hits a hr.  I'm really fed up with the sequencing for this team.

last year he was fine for Houston across 3 levels of MiLB, but has struggled with control in AAA for the Bees.
