A few years ago I was in Hawaii and was out at the beach.  So I was like I don’t know.  20 yards out into the water or maybe a little more.  Anyway, beautiful day, bright blue sky.  Not a cloud in sight.  The beach was quiet the water was calm.  It was perfect pretty much.  The fu*cking Tsunami warning siren went off.  I had no familiarity with this.

Anyway.  I pretty much shit myself and have never moved quicker in my entire life.  It was a traumatic experience.

what a pussy

Were you in Wailea? I’ve been there when they tested the tsunami alarm and it scared the shift out of me too.

Not gonna lie - I've only ever lived in socal, and that alarm freaked me out a bit. I've been conditioned from movies to be pretty sure that it either means a nuke is coming in, or the zombie apocalypse is starting.

a joke gif but Yellowstone finally blasting off would be worst case scenario

Back in the early 70s I was driving on Knott Ave. Near the Army reserve base when the ground open up and 5 or 6 missile popped up. It turned out to be a test but it was a little scary. I think they were SAMs.
