So after seeing enough of Allen this season, he reminds me of the near retired Troy Percival when he only had a 90-93 MPH fastball to go along with a curveball. Was sketchy as hell, but thankfully we had Shields and K-Rod. 

Guys I want to see in the 9th inning before Cody Allen.

Robles, Anderson, Garcia, Buttrey, Cole and even Anderson who is still in AAA for whatever reason.

Nah. I like the way they are using Buttrey.

I don’t mind using your effective relievers in high leverage spots.  I think it’s smart.  But if you’re going to do that you probably want to have effective relievers for the end of the game.  I don’t get what they’re doing with Anderson.  And I don’t get why they’re doing the buddy system with Barria.  Probably could have used Robles late game today.

I like Buttrey, but if they go with him as closer immediately, I just hope he doesn't turn into Jordan Walden.

I mentioned this in another thread, but it's something that's worked in the past. What about Canning becoming the closer for the rest of the year and then put him in the rotation next year? Kind of like what the Cardinals did with Wainwright.

He’s with salt lake for some reason.  He’s struggled a bit there.
