Never. I don't mind kids movies, but this looks terrible. I'm sure many creative critics will be using the title "Epic....Fail" for their review.

Actually, it has been getting awesome reviews.  Currently 92% fresh at RottenTomatoes.com.

 

I might take the kids to see it.  I still need to take them to see The Croods.

Don't have kids yet. I'm sure once they're around I'll be watching all of these movies. I've actually avoided many animated films (dating all the way back to Shrek) because I know that once I have kids I'll be watching them.

I honestly can't see myself enjoying this. The previews look terrible and Aziz Ansari as the slug or whatever seems like an incredibly annoying character. Also the look of the movie just looks so generic to me. Also doesn't help that I've been seeing previews for it for more than half a year.

 

 

The Croods is a fun movie. Took my son to the drive-in to check it out. I like How to Train Your Dragon better from the same guys, but it's still decent.

Yeah, that's funny. I was going to vote "never" until I saw that he contributed his vocal talents. Now, it's must-see in theater a.s.a.p.

This movie is now showing up in the cheap theaters so I took the kids to see it and we really enjoyed it.  Good story, action and laughs.  If you want to kill a couple hours with the kids in some free A/C, head to your local cheap theater and check it out.
