Sad that they couldn't call the rest of the game off after 5. Now they can call it for the Rangers. who could gain a game in their chase for fourth.

The Athletics managed to make up 11 games in about six weeks. The Rangers only need to make up about eight to reach fourth.

The Seattle announcers were just filling some time in the Dodgers game and recounted a Greg Maddux story. In the final month of his 23rd season, Maddux was told he was standing at a career 999 walks. He was outraged at the thought he would walk 1,000 batters. So he didn't. No walks over his final three starts. I sure wish the Angels could find a control freak who could do that.
