He wouldn't be my first or second choice. But he's a good fallback option and will probably be easy to get.

No thanks.  Massive discrepancy in home road splits.  Poor defender.  Has a history of being a poor clubhouse guy.  Walk rates of 3.9 and 4.0% the last two years.  

Just doesn't seem like an Eppler guy.

Not a fan. Due to make $21 million over the next 2 yrs and just doesn't really excel at any one thing. He's a free swinger with average defense. Could probably get better value elsewhere IMO

I’ll say this, I would rather have Dee Gordon than Starlin Castro.  He has two skill sets that are better than Castro, defense and speed.

Agree with that.  I still think we'll opt for Neil Walker over either.  

There are other stop gap guys I like better as well.  Kipnis, Lowrie, maybe Kinsler.

I am just thinking we will make one trade and then sign one “bigger” free agent.  If that is the case, it seems there are more 2nd baseman to trade for and then sign a 3rd baseman.

I'd like to have Gordon over Castro too but I doubt Jerry is in a mood to make a trade with us....Jeter and the Fish might....Castro isn't a perfect fit for what Eppler likes but he'd be a cheaper get than Hernandez....

Surprised at everyone passing. How many better options are available? Has the Ohtani acquisition gone to your heads?  Would be a massive upgrade from the previous season. Castro would be a great buy low option at second base. If you do that and sign Moustakas the lineup would be absolutely lethal.

Angels have plenty of money to sign Moustakas and Walker.

And still have money for final tweeks.

Would have to find a 3B option with some solid OBP to balance it out a bit, but I think he'd be a decent fit. Kinda reminds me of Kinsler in terms of skill and cost, and I think I'd actually prefer Kinsler over him.

Edit: wow, I didn't realize Castro will only be Age 28 season in '18.
