Nothing new.  It's been well known that they were closing after this year.  They just finally stopped jerking everyone around and finally officially announced it.

End of the year Katie.  They will be racing through their Winter meet, then sounds like clearing even the stables right away.  Not sure how it affects the Casino though.

Not that I know of.  That proposal died a long time ago.  The plan is empty condos and shops.  

 

As was stated in todays LA Times:

 

 

Trainer Doug O'Neill said Hollywood Park "should honor and respect its history." He questioned why a place surrounded by empty stores and homes for sale would want to build more of the same.
