I think he is starting to break. Last night before the comeback it kinda felt like this team is coming apart at the seams. Maldo is exhausted, Norris has lost his touch again, the rest of the pen is getting g gassed, the rotation doesn't have the stuff to get consistent results or give the pen a real break...something's gotta give here. I hope I'm wrong, but I think we may have passed the high water mark of the season.

 

That being said...the least we can do is find someone to give maldo a break.

Rosters expand this week. Have to assume Perez will be here and a few more arms to help in relief. Could give the team some new life. But then again every team will feel the help.

5 more days til rosters expand.  Not only will that include half a dozen relievers, but Carlos Perez as well.

Escobar will play...Not sure it matters much w/ the other two....Valbuena has shown some power but neither he nor Cron has done enough to nail down regular AB's..

Valbuena has been one of the team's best hitters since the ASB. His OPS in August is .889.

I think it's obvious that Escobar will get Marte's ABs against lefties and Cron's ABs against righties

Because of Sciosicalism, Cron will be the odd man out more often than not.

Perez will most likely be here with the September call ups.
