Yankees are 5 up in loss column on angels with 19 to go. Not catching them unless you go 15-4. You want them to beat up on twins,kc and Balt.

1962 Los Angeles Dodgers

Paired along with Don Drysdale, the Dodgers again seemed to cruise to another pennant, but unexpectedly lost a four-game lead with ten games to go starting September 22. They lost eight of their next ten, including their last four and found themselves in another three-game playoff for the pennant.

Anything is possible, not probable but possible. Besides the Yankees are out of our control, we need to win as many games as possible and that's all we can do.

Angels have three games against the Astros, and are favored to lose each of them. we will be facing Verlander and McCullers for the first two, and have our anchor Nolasco going for the third. Meanwhile, the Twins have two games that they are heavily favored to win against the Padres, and one against the Blue Jays (where the twins are also favored to win, going against Brett Anderson and his 5.9 ERA and 4.33 FIP) in that span. We are one game back right now. It seems likely that we will be in an ugly place by the end of this series. If we end this and are either tied or in the lead of the WC, that will be an incredible sign for things to come, and I will start to regain hope in this team. The schedule looks a lot more even after that - we both have a series against the indians, we both have a series against a playoff team (astros and yankees), we face the white sox, the rangers, and mariners; they face the tigers twice and the blue jays once. Our schedule is still harder, but not by much.
